About Liza
Liza King is proud to be a lifelong Lee County resident with strong Cuban-American roots and a deep love for the Southwest Florida community. Having spent the vast majority of her life as a Cape Coral resident, Liza’s roots run deep in the city she proudly calls home. Cape Coral is more than where she lives, it is where she built her life, raised her family, and dedicated herself to serving the people and community that make it so special.
A graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University, Liza earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology. Her commitment to public service began early and has defined her professional journey ever since.
Liza began her career with the Lee County Clerk’s Office in 1993 before pursuing her next chapter as a Court Investigator with the Administrative Office of the Courts. Through dedication and hard work, she rose through the ranks and now serves as Chief Deputy Court Administrator for the 20th Judicial Circuit. She is responsible for budgeting, staffing, policy implementation and oversight for a multi-county circuit. She is a certified court manager and executive and previously served as a Commissioner for the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission (FCAC). Her leadership and service have earned her recognition as a “40 Under 40” honoree and a Women of Distinction award recipient. This tenure has strengthened her commitment to accountability and efficient governance.
As part of her retirement transition plan, Liza became a licensed Realtor, combining her decades of experience in complex legal and administrative matters with her passion for helping families achieve their goals. She specializes in complex real estate transactions and takes pride in guiding clients with integrity, transparency, and care.
Liza’s heart for service extends far beyond her professional career. She has served on the Lee County Charter Review Commission, the City of Cape Coral Charter Review Commission, the Florida Gulf Coast University Department of Justice Studies Advisory Board, and the Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizens Advisory Committee. She also served on the board of the inaugural Hispanic Heritage Festival and 5K event and currently serves on a United Way allocation review team and on the board of the Multicultural Centre of Southwest Florida’s “Big Backpack” event.
In honor of her late sister, Liza founded Alice’s Wings of Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to continuing her sister’s legacy of compassion and community impact.
Liza has also been active in civic and political leadership, serving as Vice President of the Lee County Republican Patriots Club and as a Precinct Representative for the Lee County Republican Executive Committee. She is an active member of Step of Faith Ministries.
Family is at the center of Liza’s life. She and Robert, are proud parents of three adult children—Jordan, Samantha, and Alyssa. And, grandparents to the joy of their lives, their first grandchild, Kobe. They also cherish their beloved fur baby, Cielo. In her free time, Liza enjoys exploring Cape Coral’s beautiful waterways, visiting local beaches, embracing the outdoors, and creating new adventures with her family.
Liza believes that strong communities are built through service, integrity, and engagement! And, she remains committed to giving back to the community that has given her so much.
